NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Province of Nova Scotia will host the 25th Annual Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers in Halifax, Nova Scotia, July 16, 17 and 18. The theme is Building Northeast Networks. The co-chairs are John Hamm, Premier of Nova Scotia and Argeo Paul Cellucci, Governor of Massachusetts.

The Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers is an inter-regional, bi-national, trans-border organization established in 1973 in recognition of the special bond that exists between the six New England states and the five Eastern Canadian provinces. Its members are the governors and the premiers of those provinces and states. The meetings are held alternately in New England and Eastern Canada. Last year�s meeting was held in Rockport, Maine.
