NOTE TO EDITORS:

North American Occupational Safety and Health Week (NAOSH Week) is May 15 to 21, 2000. The theme for this year is Work Safety for a Healthy Future.

The Provincial Steering Committee for North American Occupational Safety and Health Week invites you to attend a luncheon and awards presentation in honour of North American Occupational Safety and Health Week 2000. A news conference will start at noon on Wednesday, May 10 at the Fluvarium, Pippy Park, St. John�s. Oliver Langdon, Minister of Environment and Labour, will present Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Recognition Awards to individuals and companies in recognition of their initiatives in the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses.
