Important information for electors on polling for the April 25, 2000 
by election in the Electoral District of Trinity North

In order to vote in the provincial by election on April 25, 2000, electors must meet the following qualifications:

1. Be 18 years of age or more on polling day;
2. a Canadian citizen and;
3. ordinarily resident in the province on April 24, 2000.

(Section 23, Elections Act, 1991).

Pursuant to S.56(2) of the Elections Act, 1991 the new Permanent List of Electors prepared by the Chief Electoral Office using information obtained under agreement with the Chief Electoral Officer for Canada as contained in the Register of Electors prepared in respect of the province under the Canada Elections Act, will be used for the by election. A qualified elector whose name does not appear on the voters list is required to produce identification and take an oath in the prescribed form in order to vote on polling day.
