Rick Woodford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Percy Barrett, MHA - Bellevue, today announced that a $1,027,075.35 contract has been awarded to RDN Construction Ltd. of St. John's for roadwork on Route 201 from Chapel Arm to Long Cove, km 1.76 to km 7.56 and km 8.14 to km 8.54.

Mr. Barrett said that the work will commence immediately and be completed by September 30, 1999.

Mr. Barrett also announced that Municipal Capital Works funding has been approved for local roadwork this year in Chapel Arm, Norman's Cove, Come By Chance, Long Harbour and Old Shop.
