Rick Woodford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Brian Tobin, MHA - The Straits and White Bay North, today announced that a $1,472,425.27 contract has been awarded to Provincial Paving Ltd. of St. John's for paving approximately 25.9 kilometres of Route 435 Cook's Harbour Road from Route 430 to Cook's Harbour, paving local roads in St. Anthony and St. Lunaire-Griquet areas and recapping approximately 8.2 kilometres of Route 430 from Portland Creek Intersection to Daniel's Harbour.

Mr. Tobin said that the work will commence immediately and be completed by September 30, 1999.
