Contract for renovations and alterations to Avalon East District schools

Rick Woodford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Judy Foote, Minister of Education, announced today that a $631,592 contract (CP#2) has been awarded to Redwood Construction Ltd. of St. John's for renovations and alterations to schools in the Avalon East District.

"This contract will see work begin at Ecole St. Gerard, St. Pius X and MacPherson schools in St. John's and at Mary Queen of the World in Mount Pearl," said Minister Foote.

"The renovations and alterations to these schools will commence immediately and be completed by September 1, 1999," added Minister Woodford.
