Contracts awarded for Melville Health Care Facility

Ernie McLean, Minister Responsible for Labrador, and Rick Woodford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, today announced that two contracts, totalling $8,633,000 have been awarded for the Melville Health Care Facility.

A $4,770,000 contract, for mechanical fit-up has been awarded to Canadian Process Services Inc. and a $3,863,000 contract for electrical fit-up has been awarded to Emery Construction Ltd.

Mr. McLean said the awarding of these contracts is further evidence of government's continuing commitment to health care in Labrador.

Work will commence immediately and be completed by December 31, 1999.
