Results of Buffalo Tour 1999
On Tuesday, July 13 the provincial all-star swim team returned from their
nine day trip that took them to St. Catherine's, Ontario and Buffalo, USA.
The team of 28 swimmers led by coaches Steve Fultz, John Clancey, and
Manager Paula Dawe departed from St. John's on Sunday, July 4 to attend a four day
training camp at Brock University and then travelled south of the border to compete in the
Buffalo Star Invitational Swim Meet. With over 40 teams and 700 swimmers in attendance
from the eastern United States, and southern Ontario the competition was stiff but the
team raced hard and fared very well placing tenth overall.
