The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Under 21 Hoop Tournament The 1999 Under 21 Men's Basketball Championship will be held at the Torbay Recreation Center, April 23-25. The tournament will be limited to the first eight teams registering for the event. Registration fees for the tournament are $175 per team and the deadline is Wednesday, April 21. Individuals must be born in 1978 or later to be eligible to compete. The tournament will be played under the fair play minor rules and is not open to athletes who competed at the high school level. Division 1 players and AUAA players interested in competing will be placed into a lottery and placed on teams by the host committee.
