Molson Senior Provincial Volleyball Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association will be hosting six Molson Senior Provincial Championships with a total of 51 teams competing this weekend, March 12 and 13, in central Newfoundland. Gander will play host to the four team Women's A, and 15 team Men's B championship. Glenwood will host the six team Men's C championship. In Grand Falls-Windsor, the five team Men's A will be played along with the 11 team Ladies B and 10 team Ladies C championship.

All championships are set to begin on Friday at 5 p.m. and play will continue on Saturday with playoff matches scheduled on courts for approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday. In Gander, the venues scheduled to be used are Gander Collegiate and the Canadian Forces Base, and in Glenwood, the tournament will be played at Lakewood Academy. In Grand Falls-Windsor, four schools will be used: St. Mikes, Grand Falls Academy, Notre Dame Academy and Bursey Collegiate.

All awards for the six championships will be supplied by Molson, the provincial senior sponsor for the Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association. The team awards will be presented after the final on each court, while the all-star and most valuable player awards will be presented at the social Saturday night at Hotel Gander.
