NOTE TO EDITORS:

On Friday, October 15, 1999, Charles Furey, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, and Kevin Aylward, Minister of Forest Resources and Agrifoods, will hold a news conference to announce the establishment of the Reserves in the Little Grand Lake area. The news conference will take place at the Canadian Forestry Building, main foyer, on University Avenue in Corner Brook at 9:30 a.m. They will be joined by the MHA for the area, Bob Mercer, industry stakeholders Judith Tsang, member of the Wilderness and Ecological Reserves Advisory Council (WERAC) and Martin vonMirbach, chair of the Western Newfoundland Model Forest.
