NOTE TO EDITORS: Government to present cheque to Canada Winter Games Host Society

NOTE TO EDITORS:

On Friday, January 15, Charles Furey, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, and Paul Dicks, Minister of Finance and Justice, will present Tex Seaborn, Vice Chair and VP Sport, of the Canada Winter Games Host Society with a cheque for the provincial contribution towards the Cultural Program of the 1999 Canada Winter Games. The presentation will take place at the Canada Games Centre in Corner Brook immediately following the 12:30 p.m. presentation of walk out suits to athletes.
