Crosbie/Portia Place Playground to officially open

An official opening ceremony will be held Saturday, October 9, 1:00 p.m., at Portia Place, St. John's to mark the development of a new playground for the neighbourhood. Funding for the project was cost-shared by the federal and provincial governments.

Officiating at the ceremony will be Lloyd Matthews, MHA for St. John's North, and minister responsible for NLHC. He will be joined by representatives of NLHC, members of the Crosbie/Portia Place Tenant Association as well as residents of the area. Refreshments will follow at The Swiler's Rugby Club.
