NOTE TO EDITORS:

Province to respond to water tax issue

Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, will provide details concerning government's position on payment of water taxes to the City of St. John's at a news conference scheduled for 10 a.m. today (January 13) in the Media Centre, Main Floor, East Block, Confederation Building. Minister Matthews will be joined by fellow St. John's MHAs Joan Marie Aylward, Minister of Health and Community Services, and Walter Noel, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs.
