1999 Mines Branch Open House being held this week

Roger Grimes, Minister of Mines and Energy, is opening up the 23rd Annual Mines Branch Open House, being held on Thursday, November 4 at the Delta St. John's. The Open House begins at 9:00 a.m. in Salon B.

The Open House is a one-day event held in conjunction with the 2nd Joint Annual Meeting of the Newfoundland Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland. The Open House will present an overview of the current field and research activities of the department as well as updates in mining and exploration in the province.
