Market Highlights:

- Retail gasoline prices throughout Newfoundland and Labrador remained unchanged for the current survey period. For the communities surveyed, Conception Bay South continues to have the least expensive price of 67.9 cpl.

- From September 21, 1999 to October 5, 1999, refinery wholesale prices, as measured by the Montreal refinery rack price, increased by 1.3 cpl to 30.1 cpl.

- Crude oil prices decreased from $24.46 US per barrel to $23.45 US per barrel over the current survey period.
