Department of Justice issues comment on illegal strike by correctional officers
The Department of Justice announced this morning that the injunction granted yesterday by the Supreme Court of Newfoundland compelling correctional officers to return to work has been served on NAPE.
Government remains willing to meet with correctional officers once they have returned to work. Additionally, there is a grievance procedure under the Collective Agreement, which provides a process for dealing with complaints.
