Cabot Habitat for Humanity announces plans for 1999 Building Program

On Tuesday, June 29, Howard Hickman, chair of Cabot Habitat for Humanity, will unveil plans for the group's 1999 Building Program and announce the names of the families selected to become Habitat Homeowners.

At a special ceremony to mark the occasion, Premier Tobin, accompanied by children from the selected families, will turn the sod for the first house to be built during this year's blitz building program and Ernie McLean, Minister of Government Services and Lands, will convey the deed for a major donation of Crown land.

The ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29 at the corner of Southside Road and Waterford Lane. A reception will follow at Waterford Manor, 185 Waterford Bridge Road.
