NOTE TO EDITORS:

Premier Brian Tobin, along with Industry, Trade and Technology Minister Sandra Kelly, and Finance and Justice Minister Paul Dicks, will be participating in a business mission to Ireland next week. The mission, which runs from April 16-23, was organized by the St. John's Board of Trade and Ireland Business Partnerships, and will include a delegation of 14 companies from Newfoundland and Labrador. They are: the Canadian Centre for Marine Communications (CCMC), Compusult Ltd, EDM Consulting, FGA Consulting, Genesis Organic, Guigne International, SCC Environmental, Tourism Training Institute, xwave solutions, Ernst and Young LLP, the Bristol Group of Companies, Connections Research, Rink Rat Productions and Companion Films.

The main objective of the mission is to establish strategic partnerships between Newfoundland and Labrador and Irish companies, and to continue with the mandate of economic cooperation which was established under a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 1996.
