Pedestrian/Hiking Trail The proponent plans to create a 50 kilometre pedestrian/hiking trail from Point Leamington to Leading Tickles. The trail will be approximately 1.5 metres wide and will include boardwalks and bridges. The undertaking was registered on December 9, 1999; public comments are due on January 14, 2000; and the minister's decision is due on January 23, 2000. Forest Mgmt. Dist. 16 Amendment (Sheffield
Lake, Main River) The proponent proposes an amendment to the five year operating plan for Forest Management District 16 in two areas near Main River North and on the east side of Sheffield Lake. The plan amendment proposes the harvesting of 250,000 cubic metres of timber over a 2,030 hectare area and the construction of 22 kilometres of roads. The undertaking was registered on December 14, 1999; public comments are due on January 14, 2000; and the minister's decision is due on January 28, 2000.
