Minister congratulates loggers and Corner Brook Pulp and Paper on having reached a collective agreement

Environment and Labour Minister, Oliver Langdon, today issued his congratulations to Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Ltd and the Communications, Energy, and Paper Workers Union, Local 60N, on having successfully reached a collective agreement.

Minister Langdon stated that over the past few days both the employer and the union worked very hard with the Department of Environment and Labour and put in many long hours to negotiate this agreement. "I am very pleased with the tremendous effort that both parties put into the negotiation process," said the minister. "I believe that both management and the union demonstrated a real commitment to collective bargaining."

Minister Langdon extends his best wishes to both parties in the administration of their collective agreement over the next five years.
