Minister arranges talks between Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Ltd and Loggers' Union

Environment and Labour Minister, Oliver Langdon, announced today that he has facilitated an agreement between Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Ltd and the Communications, Energy, and Paper Workers Union, Local 60N, to resume talks commencing Thursday, July 29. The agreement to resume discussions was reached late this evening after extensive consultations with the two parties.

Minister Langdon stated that a conciliation officer with the department will facilitate the discussions and that a media blackout will remain in effect during the course of discussions between the two parties.
