The proponent proposes an amendment to the five year operating plan for District 15 to harvest timber in three new areas near Camp 8 Brook, and White Wash Pond which are both located north of Deer Lake and at Serpentine North which is located northeast of Serpentine Lake. The plan amendment proposes the harvesting of 206,000 cubic metres of timber over a 5,250 hectare area and will include the construction of 35 kilometres of new roads. The undertaking was registered on June 1, 1999; public comments are due on July 2, 1999; and the minister's decision is due on July 16, 1999.
