Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Ernest McLean, MHA - Lake Melville, and today announced that a $2,336,015 contract has been awarded to Labrador Construction Limited of St. John's for minor upgrading and placement of maintenance Grade III on various sections of the Trans Labrador Highway, R500 from Esker Intersection to Churchill Falls, km 220-262.

Mr. Matthews said that the work will commence in July and be completed by October 31, 1998.
