Basketball officials clinic

Mount Pearl will hold a basketball officials clinic this weekend, October 23 - 25 at O'Donel High School. The clinician for the event will be Paul Dehales from Sherbrook, Quebec with emphasis on the new rule changes for the next four years. Dehales is currently the vice president of the Canadian Association of Basketball Officials (CABO) and officiates at the international level. The clinic will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and will conclude at 1 p.m. on Sunday. A registration fee of $15 will be charged to individuals over the age of 17 and $5 for those under 17. The new FIBA handbook for the 1998-2002 time frame may also be purchased at a cost of $25.
