The following is being distributed at the request Sport Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Midget Boys Volleyball Tryout The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association will be holding the Western tryout for the Provincial Midget Boys Team Program on Sunday, March 22. The tryout will take place at Presentation School in Corner Brook, the scheduled times are 9 - 11 a.m. and noon - 2 p.m. To be eligible for the midget provincial team athletes must be born in 1982 or later. Athletes who are selected for the final teams will be playing in the Quebec Plus tournament and as well in the Eastern Canadian Elite Championship in New Brunswick in late July. It is extremely important for athletes to get involved with these programs since this midget program is the next age group for the 2001 Canada Summer Games. Athletes will gain the necessary skills and experience in the midget program that they will require to hopefully attain a spot on the Canada Games Roster for 2001. A registration fee of $15.00 will be charged for the camp and may be paid upon arrival at the camp. Further information may be obtained by contacting the NLVA at 576-0817.
