The following is being released at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA) has finalized all sites and dates for the provincial minor championships. The deadline to register clubs or school teams for provincial play is February 28 and the fee for each team is $175 for all teams excluding Mini which is $125. Schools or clubs who have not yet received applications, or require additional information please contact Bill Murphy at 576-0247. The age categories for each division are as follows:

Mini (U11) Born in 1987 or later
Mini (U12) Born in 1986 or later
Bantam Born in 1985 or later
Intermediate Born in 1984 or later
Midget Born in 1983 or later
Under 16 Born in 1982 or later
Juvenile Born in 1981 or later

The tournament site and dates for the east and west coasts are as follows:
