November 27, 1998 Minister announces appointment to Public Utilities Board Justice Minister Chris Decker today announced the appointment of William Crosbie as a commissioner with the Public Utilities Board. Mr. Crosbie studied at the Nova Scotia technical college and graduated with a bachelor of engineering (electrical) degree in 1973. He worked with Abitibi Price Pulp and Paper in Grand Falls as an assistant electrical superintendent. He was promoted to electrical superintendent and served for a brief period at the Abitibi mill in Stephenville. Mr. Crosbie relocated to St. John's and worked with Myers Engineering, Shawmont, The BAE Group, and Newton Engineering Ltd. He is currently president and owner of Crosbie Engineering Ltd. "Mr. Crosbie's professional training as an electrical engineer and his experience in the electrical industry will be a great asset to the board," said Minister Decker. Mr. Crosbie will serve as a commissioner on a part-time basis. Other part-time commissioners are William Finn, Fred Saunders, Gary Vey and Darlene Whalen. The full-time commissioners are Ray Pollett, vice-chair Leslie Galway, and chairman and chief executive officer, David Vardy.
