(Human Resources and Employment)

NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Honourable Julie Bettney, Minister of Human Resources and Employment and the Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, will meet with students of O'Donel High School in Mount Pearl (Ruth Avenue) on May 26 at 10:00 a.m. to introduce a new information kit for young women and men.

Money Smarts is a two-part financial awareness package designed for young people, their teachers and community leaders. The information provided in this Learning Resource and Money Smarts Kit will encourage young people, especially young women, to look at all the financial options available to them so that they can make informed decisions and wise money choices for the future. The program specifically addresses the unique challenges young women face when planning for their financial future.
