The following is being distributed at the request of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency:

Allergy Alert - Undeclared peanut in Bull Head brand barbeque sauce

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning consumers with a peanut allergy not to eat Bull Head brand barbecue sauce, packed by Haw-Di-I Foods Co. Ltd. of Taiwan, because the product has been found to contain peanuts that are not listed as an ingredient. The product is sold in the following sizes:

  • 105 oz. can, with a UPC code of 4 711258 030003;

  • 26 oz. can, with a UPC code of 4 711258 007371;

  • 8.5 oz. can, with a UPC code of 4 711258 002505;

  • 4.5 oz. Jar, with a UPC code of 4 711258 001256.

This product is imported from Taiwan and is distributed across Canada.

Consumption of the product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with a peanut allergy. There have been no reported illnesses associated with consumption of this product.

Consumers can return the product to the point of purchase. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is monitoring the situation.
