The following is being distributed at the request of Canadian Food Inspection Agency:

Allergy Alert - Olivieri recalls Bella Pasta
Traditional Lasagna variety across Canada

Olivieri is initiating a voluntary national recall of its Olivieri Bella Pasta Traditional Lasagna variety packaged in 270 gram frozen single serve paperboard trays because of the presence of undeclared egg ingredients. The recall follows the report of one allergic incident.

Products bearing the codes 72971 and 7282D - UPC codes 63100 13000 should not be consumed by persons with egg protein allergies. Olivieri Bella Pasta Traditional Lasagna was distributed nationally through all major grocery retail chains.

If products bearing the codes 72971 or 7282D are in your possession and you have an egg protein allergy, please call 1-800-268-3708 for full details on reimbursement or answers to any other concerns.

"There is no health risk to people not allergic to egg protein. For consumers allergic to egg protein there is a risk," said Linda Smith, company spokesperson.
