Premier Brian Tobin today clarified the role of Beaton Tulk. Mr. Tulk has resigned from his positions as both Minister of Development and Rural Renewal and as Government House Leader during the course of the investigation into allegations made by John Woodrow. He will, however, be assisting with government strategy on a voluntary, unpaid basis. The interim House Leader will be the Chris Decker, Minister of Justice. The two members of Mr. Tulk's political staff have been suspended with pay, pending the results of the investigation. This is normal procedure within government. The premier said that government will now await the conclusion of the investigation and will act accordingly when the results are received.
