NOTE TO EDITORS:

Premier Brian Tobin will be in Fredericton, New Brunswick from June 7-9 to attend the 25th Annual Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers, as well as the 17th Conference of Atlantic Premiers. The meetings will all be held at the Sheraton Hotel, 225 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB.

The Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers will focus on energy, trade and environmental issues. On Monday, June 8, Premier Tobin will deliver a presentation on the Churchill River Power Projects and present a report on the energy market in the northeastern region.

The Conference of Atlantic Premiers will take place during the same two day period, and much of the discussions will focus on the post-TAGS situation. A photo opportunity is scheduled for 8:20 a.m. in the Hampstead Room of the Sheraton Hotel, and a press scrum will be held in the lobby of Ballroom C and D at 10:15 a.m.
