Environmental Assessment Bulletin Environment and Labour Minister Oliver Langdon has announced the following events relative to the Environmental Assessment Act. In the case of documents received or approved, copies may be obtained by contacting the regional office of the Department of Environment and Labour or by calling toll-free 1-800-563-6181. Comments on submitted documents are invited from the public, addressed in writing to the minister, and are welcome prior to the deadline date shown for each item. NEW UNDERTAKINGS REGISTERED:
The proponent has submitted a Five Year Operating Plan for Forest Management District 13 in the Annieopsquotch Mountains - Victoria Lake area. The plan proposes the harvesting of 200,000 cubic metres of timber over a 2,090 hectare area and the construction of 21 kilometres of new forestry access roads. The undertaking was registered on November 16, 1998, public comments are due on December 16, 1998 and the minister's decision is due on December 31, 1998. FALL WATERFOWL STAGING SURVEY SUBMITTED
The proponent has submitted the fall 1998 Waterfowl Staging Survey as part of the Migratory Bird/Birds of Prey Component Study. The minister's decision on this component study is now due on November 28, 1998.
