May 18 to 24, 1998 is North American Occupational Safety and Health Week (NAOSH Week). The theme for this year is Occupational Safety and Health: Partners Together in Safety.

The Provincial Steering Committee for North American Occupational Safety and Health Week invite you to attend a luncheon and awards presentation in honour of North American Occupational Safety and Health Week 1998. A news conference will start at 12 noon on Wednesday May 13 at the Fluvarium, Pippy Park, St. John's. Oliver Langdon, Minister of Environment and Labour, will be presenting Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Recognition Awards to individuals and companies in recognition of their initiatives in the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses.
