NOTE TO EDITORS:
Lloyd Matthews, Minister of
Works, Services and Transportation, will met with federal
Transport Minister David Collenette in Ottawa on Thursday, August
7.
During a recent meeting in
Toronto, transportation ministers across the country had an
opportunity to discuss national issues with Mr. Collenette. At
those meetings, Mr. Matthews sought a separate meeting with Mr.
Collenette to discuss a variety of issues of extreme importance
to the province. These issues include acceleration of cash flow
for transportation agreements; funding for transportation in
Labrador; relocation of Marine Atlantic; and the devolution of
airports to the province.
