Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation; Don Whalen, MHA - Harbour Main-Whitbourne; and John Efford, MHA - Port de Grave, today announced that a $6,297,819 contract has been awarded to Pennecon Ltd. of St. John's for paving R70, Conception Bay North Bypass from Hodgewater Line to Country Road, and for completing grading and paving of Bay Roberts Access Road.

The project will start within the next few weeks and is scheduled to be completed by September 1998.
