A $777,800 contract has been awarded to Concord Paving Limited of Carbonear to upgrade and pave Flambro Head towards Old Perlican, Route 70 from kilometre 96 to kilometre 103 for a total distance of 7 kilometre approxiamtely.

The announcement was made by Lloyd Snow, MHA - Trinity-Bay de Verde, on behalf of Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Atlantic Freight Transition Program.

Mr. Snow said that this project should be completed by September 30, 1997.
