A $275,410 contract has been awarded to Goobie Rentals and Contracting Ltd. of Hillview to supply and place Maintenance Grade III and calcium chloride on R336, Change Islands for a total of 10.1 kilometres.

The announcement was made by Gerry Reid, MHA - Twillingate and Fogo, on behalf of Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services, and Transportation.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Strategic Highway Initiative Program.

Mr. Reid said that this project should be completed by September 30, 1997.
