A $3,796,455 contract has been awarded to McNamara Construction Company of St. John's to recap Route 430 from Deer Lake to Gros Morne Park boundary for a distance of approximatley 30.9 kilometres.

The announcement was made by Rick Woodford, MHA - Humber Valley, on behalf of Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services, and Transportation.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Regional Trunk Roads Agreement.

Mr. Woodford said that this project should be completed by September 30, 1997.
