Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Chris Decker, MHA - The Straits-White Bay North, are pleased to announce that a $4,663,575 contract has been awarded to Penney Paving of St. John's to pave 27 km of the new road from Main Brook to St. Anthony Airport and to pave 10 kilometres of the existing road from St. Anthony to Goose Cove,

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trunk Roads Program.

This project is expected to be completed by July 30, 1998.
