A $239,012 contract has been awarded to East Coast Hydroseeding Limited of St. John's to hydroseed various section of the Trans Canada Highway slopes and several borrow pits from Holyrood Interchange towards Triangular Pond. The announcement was made today by Don Whelan, MHA - Harbour Main-Whitbourne, on behalf of Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works Services and Transportation.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trans Canada Highway Agreement. Mr. Whelan said that this project should be completed by August 31, 1997.
