Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Lloyd Snow, MHA - Trinity-Bay de Verde, are pleased to announce that a contract, No. 17-97 THP, upgrading and paving R80, Hearts Delight towards Greens Harbour., km 29 to km 44, total 15 km; has been awarded to Concord Paving Limited of Carbonear.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Regional Trunk Roads Agreement.

This contract has a value of $1,686,434 and Concord Paving Limited was the lowest of two bidders. This project is to be completed September 30, 1997.
