Lloyd G. Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Graham Flight, MHA - Windsor-Springdale, are pleased to announce that a contract, No. 8-97 THP; upgrade and pave TCH from 6 kilometres east of Baie Verte intersection to 2 kilometres east of Springdale intersection, has been awarded to McNamara Construction Company of St. John's.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trans Canada Highway Agreement.

This contract has a value of $3,256,180 and McNamara Construction Company was the lowest of four bidders. This project is to be completed September 30, 1997.
