Lloyd G. Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Ralph Wiseman, MHA - Topsail, are pleased to announce that a contract, No. 1-97 TSG, for construction of a two lane eastbound and a two lane westbound three span prestressed concrete overpass on the Outer Ring Road over Topsail Road and associated works, has been awarded to Trident Construction Limited of St. John's.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trans Canada Highway Agreement.

This contract has a value of $1,641,631 and Trident Construction Limited was the lowest of two bidders. This project is to be completed September 30, 1997.
