Lloyd G. Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Melvin Penney, MHA - Lewisporte, are pleased to announce that a contract, No. 011-97 THP; paving TCH from 1.1 kilometres west of Notre Dame Junction towards Norris Arm, km 379 - km 388; has been awarded to McNamara Construction Company of St. John's.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trans Canada Highway Agreement.

This contract has a value of $2,193,145 and McNamara Construction Company was the lowest of five bidders. This project is to be completed September 30, 1997.
