Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, is pleased to announce that a contract, No. 04-97 TSB, construction of bridge downstream of Cape Broyle spillway and reconstruction and paving of 800 metres of structure approaches, has been awarded to Trident Construction Limited of St. John's.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Regional Trunk Roads Agreement.

This contract has a value of $631,582 and Trident Construction Limited was the lowest of eight bidders. This project is to be completed September 30, 1997.
