Badminton Newfoundland and Labrador is preparing
for 1997/98 and 1998/99 seasons

In addition to the Black Knight/Harvey's Travel Senior A, Senior B, Pepsi Junior, Pepsi Juvenile, and Under-14 tournament circuits with over 40 regional and provincial tournaments scheduled for the 1997/98 season, Badminton Newfoundland and Labrador, with assistance from its sponsors, will host several regional badminton tournaments over the next two years.

The 1997/98 Atlantic Badminton season starts on the west coast of Newfoundland this year, as Badminton Newfoundland and Labrador (BNL) hosts the Atlantic Summer Open on August 29-31 in Springdale.

BNL will host the Atlantic Junior Badminton Championships on the west coast in February 1998, and young athletes will be on the courts playing badminton at the 1998 Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games.

A Junior Eastern Badminton Open in the fall of 1998 will possibly identify badminton's best leading into the 1999 Canada Winter Games.
