Minor Hoop Tournaments announced

The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association have finalized all sites and dates for the Provincial Minor Championships. The deadline to register your club or school team for provincial play is February 28 and the fee for each team is $175. Schools or clubs who have not yet received applications or for additional information please contact Bill Murphy at (709) 576-0247. The age categories for each division are as follows:

Mini (U11)     Born in 1986 or later
Mini (U12)     Born in 1985 or later
Bantam         Born in 1984 or later
Intermediate   Born in 1983 or later
Midget         Born in 1982 or later
Juvenile       Born in 1980 or later
