The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Pepsi Bantam Boys Provincial Championship

On April 11 and 12 the town of CBS will be hosting the Pepsi Bantam Boys Provincial Volleyball Championships. Games will be played at Frank Roberts Intermediate and Queen Elizabeth High School. The tournament will see nine teams from around the province battle it out for the championship. The teams will be divided up into two divisions, with a round-robin format to be played within each division. The top two teams from each division will earn a spot in the semi-finals. Divisional play will get underway on Friday, April 11 at 4 p.m. and will continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. The playoffs will take place on Saturday after the completion of divisional play. The playoffs will start around 3 p.m. with the semi-final rounds, and finish off with the bronze and gold medal matches. The bronze medal match will be played at Queen Elizabeth and the gold medal match will be played at Frank Roberts Intermediate.

The teams that will be competing at this tournament are CBS Raven's 7's and 8's, Beaconsfield Saxons 7's (St. John's), Windsor Collegiate Bears, Carmanville Loopers, Clarenville Tigers, CBN Knights (Brigus), Catalina, and Jane Collins Academy (Dover).
